I held a Christmas Class at my house last night and will show you some of those projects.  For some reason, I find myself reaching for Brushed Gold and Elegant Eggplant card stock a lot lately.  I just think that they are such an elegant Christmas combination!

This is another card with the Sweet Centers set from the Holiday Mini.  The Christmas Cocoa Specialty Paper (page 21 in the mini) was positioned behind the treat cup to coordinate with the Brushed Gold c/s and gold embossing.  Champagne Shimmer paint was applied to the edges of the Elegant Eggplant layer with a sponge dauber.   The Champagne Shimmer paint has a beautiful, lustrous sparkle, without the hassle of gluing and glittering.

Hint:  Don't FILL your treat cup up completely with candy, as it will cover the pretty designer paper backing.  Filling it about half full will actually yield a prettier card.

Happy Stampin!

Cold & Cuddly polar bear box

Just a quick description today.  This is a small box, based on a project presented in the Stampin Success received by SU demonstrators.  The stamped images are from the WONDERFUL Cold and Cuddly set on page 18 of the Holiday Mini.  There is a wide flap over the box, with attached polar bear.  The "North Pole" sign is attach to a craft stick that has been rolled in Old Olive ink.  Old Olive Designer series paper is wrapped across the bottom of the box.  Tinsel is put inside the box to add that festive touch.

Bella Bleu Bella Bloom

This is a card for a special lady - Shelli Gardner.  Shelli is Co-Founder and CEO of Stampin' Up!  Shelli runs monthly contests on her blog and I was one of the the August SIP contest winners!!!  Such an amazing honor.   This is my Thank You card to Shelli.

The card base is Kraft, with mats of Not Quite Navy and Always Artichoke.  The flower from Bella Bloom was colored with Always Artichoke and Not Quite Navy markers and stamped on Kraft c/s.  The panels were layered with Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper. The Kraft layer of the Bella Bleu DP was run through the Finial Press Big Shot Embossing Folder (page 195), because that texture coordinated so well with the focal image.

Kraft ribbon was added to help pull things together..... but something was missing.

I wanted to use brads, but felt that gold or silver brads would not "work".  Did you know that you can color emboss brads??   Sand your brad a bit with your sanding block (page 188).  Holding the brad with a pliers for similar tool, press the head of the brad into a craft ink pad (in this case, Not Quite Navy).  Then press into Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and heat emboss.  DO NOT touch the brads until they've had time to dry.  OR,  you can skip the embossing power; just ink with craft ink and heat set.   Now you have brads that coordinate with your project.

Have stampin fun!

Holiday Sweet Centers

This is the balloon image from the Holiday Mini Sweet Centers set (page 6).   The Sweet Centers set coordinates with the 1 3/4 inch round circle punch and Sweet Treat Cups.  Put them together and you have a unique treat card.  This card uses Green Galore, Summer Sun and Chocolate Chip cardstock, with a little paper piercing accent.

AND DON'T FORGET THE M&Ms!

Punchy Mint Patty Spiders

Now this is just plain fun!

These are Punchy Mint Patty Spiders.  Punch 2 black scallop pieces out of black c/s (cardstock).  Use the Photo Corner Punch (page 186) to make the smaller orange legs and cut the black leg mats out of the larger part of the punch.  Punch some eyes and nose and assemble.  Use your white gel pen to add eyeballs to the spider eyes.

What a fun table decoration or Halloween treat!

Scallop Gift bag

This is a "version" of a project we will be doing at my Christmas Class this coming Friday.   It's difficult to see, but this is a small box, with large scallops (made with the Big Shot) wrapped around the box to form a purse or gift bag.  Night and Day designer paper (from the Holiday mini) was used for the large scallops.  The Sweet Centers (page 6 from the Mini) halloween stamp was stamped in Dusty Durango and then cut out with a circle punch.  This was mounted to a Dusty Durango small scallop and attached to the gift purse.
