Christmas Class

As usual, I've been busy with work and MDS.  SU is running a demonstrator special, so I am trying to complete my second MDS 8x8 book.   I'm anxious to include many examples, so that you can see what this software is capable of.

Today's entry presents some of the items I featured in my recent Christmas Class. Given that I'm always "fiddling" with the activities for events, we only did 2 of the items pictures (spinner card and purse).

I LOVE the flocked paper  in the Christmas Cocoa Specialty paper in the Holiday Mini.  It is sooo fun to work with.  The background card, with the white base, demonstrates the fact that the Ornament punch coordinates perfectly with the red flocked paper, creating an old fashioned ornament.  And there's nothing like the textured purse base, with texturized top note flap.

Lastly, the spinner card uses the Christmas Cocoa specialty paper and  penquin from the Cold and Cuddly set offered in the Holiday Mini.  He is so darn cute as he spins across the card!

Well, back to housework and MDS!

Big Shot Scallop Notebook

I've been busy working on ANOTHER MDS book (can we say "addictive!"),
so have been posting less often.

This is another item that demonstrators made at an event held by Sharon Duvelius The Big Shot Scallop Circle was used to cut notebook paper, a cover and back. What a cute little gift idea!   A hole was punched through the sections of this notebook, with the Crop-a-Dial.  A ring and ribbons were added.   The notebook cover was decorated with the Razzle Dazzle set (page 94) and coordinating Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper on page162.    Another Easy Peasy idea.

One day closer to Friday!

First MDS Book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the cover of MY VERY FIRST MDS (My Digital Studio) printed book (sorry that the picture is "shiny" and I covered the family name for privacy reasons).  It is SO COOL!  And what a gift for family and friends.  It looks soooo much better in book form than on the computer screen.

This book was made with the MDS software and then uploaded to the Stampin' Up! website for printing.  I got it back in 1 week.

This is the back cover of my book (sorry, covered names again).  You can make album pages for the front and back of your printed book, or leave them blank. You can also have printing on the spline of your book, which I do.

.

I am overjoyed about this "album" and look forward to showing it to you in person!

Loads of Love Ornament Hauler

Several years ago, I used the card above at a fall stamp camp.   The pumpkin is made by adhering 3 oval punches.   Of course when I ran across this card, I felt compelled to "reuse" the idea with the Ornament Punch on page 25 of the Holiday Mini.

In keeping with my obsession with Elegant Eggplant cardstock, this card uses Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip card stock and ink.  The Merry Moments designer paper ornament is mounted on dimensionals in the back of the Loads of Love pickup.   Snowflakes from the Branch Out set were stamped on the Elegant Eggplant card base.   A little Elegant Eggplant ribbon, some piercing, and you're good to go!

Happy Stampin,

Big Shot Christmas Tree

This is a card using the SU Bigz XL O Christmas Tree Pop-Up Die on page 29 of the Holiday Mini.  Merry Moments DP (designer series paper) was attached to the front of a Rich Razzleberry card.   Rich Razzleberry ribbon is attached under the DP.

When the card is opened, the "fold up" Christmas tree opens to reveal a 3-dimensional image.  This is such an impressive display!  The tree is composed of 11 pieces, which are assembled after they are run through your die.  In this example, I embossed the tree components with the Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder (page 21 of the Holiday Mini),  and then put it together, to give the tree more texture.
