Llama Holiday Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Llama Christmas Hop!

You've likely arrived here from

Holly's site, having enjoyed her wonderful samples!

For my first project, I used
the Christmas image from the Easy
Events stamp set on page 57.  I find it's simplicity
incredibly beautiful.

The focal image is embossed on Shimery
White card stock, with Wild Wasabi embossing powder.
The berries were colored in with a Cherry Cobbler
marker.  The focal image was layered on
Wild Wasabi, then Early Espresso, and
finally the Cherry Cobbler card base.
Cherry Cobbler seam binding was gathered on
Sticky Strip.  2 punches with the
Doily Triple Layer punch enabled a Wild Wasabi
layer, with the Silver Glitter image layered on top.

My second project is inspired by a SU demo
named Jill Olsen.  Jill colors the Silver Glimmer Paper,
found on page 41 of the Holiday Mini, with reinkers.

In the sample above, I have placed 2 cards side by side.
The card on the left shows a "normal" snowflake punched
from the Silver Glitter paper with the Doily Triple Layer punch.
The card on the right is identical, with the exception of
a snowflake that has been dyed with Elegant Eggplant
classic ink.  The technique involves using your aqua
painter to paint reinker on to the Glitter paper. Let it
dry and you now have an accessory that is tinted
to match your project.  You should use a dark color
reinker, as the final product is much lighter than
the actual reinker color.

Other "ingredients" used on these cards include
Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant card stock,
the Big Shot Northern Flurry Embossing Folder
and sentiment from the Contempo Christmas set.

My final project is a TeePee card decorated with
the Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper.
The "ornaments" are made out of soda pop cans,
that have been run through a Big Shot embossing folder
to add texture and then punched out with the Boho Blossoms
punch.  The ornaments were attached with silver brads.
The star at the top is also a Pop Can, cut out
with the Big Shot Stars die.

I hope that you enjoyed these projects!
