Wacky Watercooler Anniversary DSP Hop!

http://wackywatercoolerstamping.blogspot.com/

Welcome to the first anniversary of the Wacky Watercooler Hop!!
We are excited about celebrating our first year of working
together to bring you lots of creative ideas.
Stampin' Up! is currently running a sale on Designer Series Paper (DSP), so that is our theme for this month!
I'm first in line in our hop order, but you may have
arrived from Kathe's blog HERE
http://kathesadventure.blogspot.ca/
 Didn't you love her projects!!

My first project features the Confetti Celebration DSP (p 186).
The advantage of using DSP is that you can get crazy with
your punches, creating all kinds of different flowers!
For the flower centers, I wound Thick Baker's Twine (p 207)
around dimensionals, to add texture and softness.
Colors:  Whisper White, Confetti Celebration DSP,
Basic Gray, Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay
Sets:  Fabulous Four (p 13),  Chalk Lines (p 114)
My next project is a good ole Sour Cream container,
made out of a piece of DSP 4x51/4 inches.
Colors:  Whisper White, Sweet Taffy DSP (p 186),
Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight
Other:  Brights Candy Dots (p 208),
Candy Dots Brad Base, 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch (p 220),
Steps:

 1. Place in landscape orientation and attach the 2
ends together with Sticky Strip.

 2.  Squeeze one end together and adhere.

3.  Squeeze the other ends in the opposite direction.
Fill with candy prior to adhering, or use a brad to
create a temporary closure.

My final project is a decorated photo of lovely Sarah.
Rather than using magnets to attach photos to your
refrigerator, you can mount them on a piece of DSP
covered (in this case, with Confetti Celebration)
cardboard or coaster.  I added a magnetic clip to suspend the coaster, but you could just add a magnet to the back.

The sentiment comes from
Work of Art (p165), punched out with the Label Bracket
punch (p 220).  Finally, I added Rhinestones colored with
Melon Mambo and Crumb Cake Blendabilities.

Now hop on over to Heidi's blog to see her wonderful projects!

Flower Frenzy Bigz Flower

This card is a quick one, given use of the Flower
Frenzy Bigz L Die on page 232 of the SU catalog.
I added a sentiment with the Fabulous Four set,
a little Blackberry Bliss Ribbon and the card was done!
I use Fabulous Four a lot, because it is a good size for
your average card!

Fringed Heart

This card is a continuation of the Fringe Scissors theme.
I wanted to use fringed material to fill in an object
like a dresser.  I ended up fringing Cherry Cobbler paper
to fit into a heart made with the Hearts Collection Framelits.

Colors:  Pretty in Pink, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake,
Early Espresso, Red Glimmer Paper

Set:  Just Sayin' (p 109) with coordinating

Fringe Scissor Challenge

Hey Friends, it's time for another Watercooler Challenge!
This week, we are doing a product challenge,
with artists showing different ways to use
the Fringe Scissors (p 215).

My project is a "hippy vest" that includes fringe
at the bottom.  Some of us, who are "MY age", will remember this look!   I brayered over the Back to Black DSP  with Lost Lagoon ink, because the pattern seemed to enhance the "hippy" look.
SetAlphabet Rotary Stamp (p 191)
Colors:  Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Lost Lagoon,
Basic Black, Back to Black Designer Series Paper
 brayered with Lost Lagoon.

OtherStarburst Framelits (p 231) for armholes,
1 inch Circle punch (p 221) for neck hole,
Measurements: Vest is 5 1/2 x 3 1/2.
Score 1 1/2 inch from each side.
