Blendabilities Line

This is a sad post, but indicates that Stampin' Up! does
what it has to do, even when it is difficult.  SU announced
this week that the Blendabilities line is being discontinued.
Here is a bit of explanation:
You may be aware of the product quality concerns we’ve been experiencing with Blendabilities, and we thank you for your patience as we’ve worked through this sensitive issue.

We’ve done everything possible to work with our manufacturer, but with no solution in sight, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to permanently discontinue this popular product line.

As indicated, the discontinuation of this product is due to
manufacturing problems which cannot be solved.
So.... today's card is one that I did a long time ago.
It pairs the In This Together set (p 169) with the Just Saying
set (p109) and coordinating Word Bubbles framelits (p 230),
with several sets of Blendabilities.

Watercooler Challenge #2

Yesterday, the Watercooler Challenge site hosted an
Inspirational Picture Challenge.
This is my second project, inspired by this photo.

The focal image is from An Open Heart,
stamped on Irresistibly Yours (SAB p 15) Specialty DSP
with Stazon Ink.   I then sponged colors from the inspiration
piece; Hello Honey, Melon Mambo, Mossy Meadow,
on to the focal image.  It was "Big Shotted" with the
Apothecary Art framelit

Here is a stained glass project from my past!
Kind of similar shapes, huh?!

Photo Inspiration Challenge WCC19

http://watercoolerchallenges.blogspot.ca/
It's time for another Watercooler Challenge!
This week is Bev's photo inspiration challenge.
View a photo and... just see where it leads you!
Below is our photo inspiration for this challenge:
I love glass and used to create stained glass projects.
I actually made 2 projects for this inspiration,
so look for a second project on Monday.
Given that one component of this image was glass,
I decided to go with glass, literally.
The starting point was a small ball jar, with candle.
I took a piece of velum and embossed it with the
I Love Lace background (p 175) and white embossing powder.
I then sponged over the white embossing with colors from
the inspiration photo, including Hello Honey, Melon Mambo
and Night of Navy.  The colors are more prominent in
real life.  For the lid, I used a sentiment from the
One Tag Fits All set on p 28 of the Occasions Mini.
This was a pretty quick gift project.
