Watercolor Flowering Fields with Endless Birthday

Sale-A-Bration time is winding down quickly, and
will end March 31st.  There are so many great offerings,
including Flowering Fields on page 12.  You can color
the images in this set, or do quick watercolor techniques.
In this example, I just scribbled some watered down
Tempting Turquoise and Mossy Meadow with an aqua painter.

I stamped the image once the ink dried, and added
the sentiment from the Endless Birthday Wishes
Photopolymer Set.  I love this set because the words are
made in a hand-written format, so you don't have to
worry too much about lining them up.

Stamp Off: Color Challenge with Wetlands

My ladies (Buffy and Susan) are at it again!
It's our Stamp Off Challenge!

Today is a Color Challenge, featuring Very Vanilla,
Wisteria Wonder, Old Olive and Lost Lagoon.

These colors are right up my alley, although I seldom
use Wisteria Wonder.  In this case, I wanted to create
kind of a rustic seascape feeling.  I attached strips
of card stock to a piece of scrap paper, to form a background layer. I inked up the Hardwood (p 128) stamp with VersaMark
and stamped the layer.   I then took a strip of Very Vanilla and stamped the birthday sentiment and image from
Wetlands (p 116), which was colored with markers.

I assembled the layers, added linen thread, Subtles Candy
Dots (p 161) and some Clear Wink of Stella (p 24 of the
Occasions Mini).  I swiped Wink of Stella over the Hardwood
and bird images, although it's difficult to tell from this picture.

So now please hop on over to check out what my
talented friends are doing with this Color Challenge!

Watercolor Gold Heart Background with Love Heart.

I made several cards using this technique, with the first
one posted to a Create with Connie and Mary Challenge.
I started by inking up the Happy Heart (p 174) Textured
Embossing Folder with Versa Mark ink.  I squeezed
a piece of Whisper White c/s in the folder and then poured
Gold Embossing folder over the c/s, embossing the hearts.
I then used an Aqua Painter (p 163 to watercolor the c/s).

The "Love" was created by omitting part of the sentiment
in the Balloon Builders set (Occasions p 14), and then
punching it out with the Sweetheart Punch on page 166.

I added strips, punched with the Banner Triple punch
on page 165, some Gold Metalic Thread and Gold Sequin Trim.

Honeycomb Happiness Slider Card

I saw a slider card designed by Anna Keyes on YouTube.
She made her card using using circle punches, but since
I have the Chalk Talk Framelits (page 173),
I decided that that would be a much easier way to make
the slide.  The arrow end of the slide has a small indicator,
created with the Circle Card Thinlits on page 171.
I wanted to create a couple more cards with the chick
from the FREE Honeycomb Happiness set,
so that was a perfect image for this slider card.

The sentiment from this set (page 15 of the SAB brochure),
also worked well for the slider reveal.
I can't get enough of the Hardwood stamp (p 128)
for this kind of background.

Watercolored Honeycomb Happiness

I've been seeing some wonderful samples of watercoloring,
including projects from UnderstandBlue.
I enjoy watercoloring, and the FREE SAB Honeycomb Happiness set on page 15 is perfect for this technique.
This card features Hello Honey, Island Indigo and Pool Party
reinkers.  The sentiment is my favorite option for pairing
with this chick image... Age Awareness on page 10 of the
annual catalog.
