Fun Fold with Butterflies

And it's Friday!  Buffy, Susan and I are set for
a fun fold challenge today.

I'm not real adventurous
where fun folds are concerned, so I just did a Joy Fold,
with some butterfly folding inside (are you curious yet)?

On the front, I used the It's My Party DSP found on page 5
of the Occasions Mini.  I love that paper because of the
colors and patterns.
I used the Lots Of Labels Framelits (p 173) to create
layers for the sentiment from Sassy Salutations (p 99),
that will be retiring at the end of the month.  Neutrals Candy Dots
were added.    The butterflies
came from Butterfly Basics on page 124 and hold the
card front closed.
When you open the Joy Fold Flap, it reveals a row of
butterflies, created with the Bold Butterfly Framelits.
I saw this on a card, but went through my Pinterest boards
and can't figure out who demonstrated this idea of the
butterflies opening on the inside of the card.  Please
let me know so that I can give credit.
This designer series paper really lends itself to this kind
of technique, because there are so many good patterns in
this pack.
Now that you've checked out my Fun Fold card, please click
on over to see what Susan and Buffy did for their folds.

In the Meadow Birthday

Here comes my favorite Occasions set, In the Meadow.
I am very happy to say that this set made it into the
upcoming 2016-17 catalog.  Whether you use one or all
of the images, this set works for so many purposes.
I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from Butterfly Basics
on page 124.  This set also made it into the new catalog.

I hope that you will tune in over the next couple of weeks,
as I may be adding a couple of sneak peaks of new product.
There are some framelits and color combos that
I know you will enjoy immensely!

Petite Pairs on Vellum

One of the sets that I am really sad to see go/retire is
Petite Pairs on page 99.  This is one of the few sets that
features wording for both the card front, and inside the card.

I added this sentiment to a layer of the It's My Party DSP,
with a card base layer of the Fancy Foil Designer Vellum
on page 149.  The inside sentiment says "to make it Better",
which can be used for so many situations.

The gold cord featured on this card has already retired,
but I could not resist adding this accent.  It helped
pull the details together.

Tomorrow I receive my first products from the new
2016-17 catalog.  To say that I am excited is an
understatement!  I have seen a digital version of the upcoming
catalog and I must say, it is the best I've seen in years!

It's My Party Koala

This is another stamp, Kind Koala (p 23), that I will be sad to
see retire.  It is a great masculine or kid friendly image that
is awfully cute to color.  I added a strip of It's My Party
DSP from page 5 of the Occasions Mini.  This paper is
wonderful because one side of each sheet contains birthday
images, while the other side patterns.  It is a very flexible
pack of paper.

I did color this Koala with the retired Blendabilities.  I just
couldn't resist.  Placing the image and DSP against
Melon Mambo really helps everything pop.
