Stamp Off Something for Baby

We're back... Stamp Off with Buffy, Susan and Jackie.
As I recall, this is a challenge that Susan suggested.
Makes sense, because she just had a new grandbaby, Emory.
Emory is incredibly beautiful.
I struggled a bit with this challenge, mostly because when
in doubt, I sometimes make things too complicated.
I made 2 cards that I didn't really "like".  I finally
went with a simple sketch, and felt much better.
I used Something for Baby, on page 58, with the
coordinating Baby's First Framelits Dies on page 192.
The DSP comes from the FREE SAB pack called
Carried Away on page 7 of the Sale-A-Bration catalog.
The sentiment was taken from the So In Love set
on page 52 of the Occasions catalog.  I LOVE the
sentiments in this set, because they are elegant, and
a great size.  I will say that this is one of those cards
that looks better in person, than in the picture.

So now that you've seen my baby project, click on

amazing projects!

Perfect Mix On In A Dozen

I went to the Stampin' Up! Arizona OnStage event in November,
where the Occasions catalog was unveiled.  The first thing
that I did was show the catalog to my mother, so that she
could pick out her favorite sets.   Her hands down favorite was
Perfect Mix on page 35.  This is such a cute set, with
sentiments that go so well with baking images.

I often forget how those household images evoke
strong, warm reactions.  The other advantage of this set
is that the images totally lend themselves to watercoloring.
You can make a quick and simple card, with some
therapeutic coloring.  Our new Watercolor Pencils (page 24)
are a great coloring option, with the Wink of Stella providing
perfect blending and sparkle.

The colors used for this project include Daffodil Delight,
Rich Razzleberry, and Going Gray.

Birthday Fiesta, without the Llama!

This is a quick and easy card using Birthday Fiesta,
on page 12.  It features the coordinating DSP from this suite.
I used the Banner Triple Punch to cut the banner end.
I feel that this set is one of the most versatile, enjoyable
sets in the catalog.  Great stuff!
