Stamp Off Colorful Seasons Sketch Challenge

Welcome friends, to another Stamp Off Challenge
with Susan, Buffy and Jackie.  We get together on
Fridays, to enjoy sharing together.

This week, we are doing a sketch challenge.  I personally
love sketch challenges, because they guide the process,
without telling me which stamps to use.   I tend to
like the more simple, straight foreword sketches
because I lean towards CAS cards.

 For this sketch, I used my FAVORITE new catalog bundle;
Colorful Seasons set (p 147) with coordinating
Seasonal Layers Thinlits dies (p 216).  I will try not to
use this bundle for every single post, but it is difficult.
The set has images for every season, while the thinlits
add additional components like this adirondack chair.
This sentiment, from Beautiful You (p 141) works
perfectly with the feeling of this card.

The other most useful product used on this card
is the Stitched Shapes Framelits (p 214).  These
square, oval and circle shapes enable you to create
elegant frames for any image or cut-out.

I'm so glad that you popped by and hope that
you stop at Buffy and Susan's blogs to see their
challenge projects.

Lift Me Up In Colors

I'm still getting used to the new 2017-19 In colors.
Some are pretty "intense".  One way to use
that intense color is to incorporate a lot of white.
That is how I  approached this card.  The InColors are
Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst.
They looked great stamped with the Lift Me Up
set on page 230.  The coordinating Up and Away
Thinlits Dies made it a breeze to cut out these images.
I went to my "default" and used the Seaside Textures
Impressions Embossing Folder on page 210, to
create texture on the white layer.

Happy Birthday On Tree Rings

The 2017-18 Stampin' Up! catalog offers some
really fun new accessories.  This is the new
Happy Birthday Thinlits on page 213.   It is fancy
and swoopy, so that you can used it for any
gender or aged birthday celebrant.

The other accessory used was that lovely layer
of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack,
found on page 187.  I live this stack and enjoyed
placing the Birthday Thinlits on the tree rings.
Somehow, the two went really well together.
I added layers of So Saffron behind the Wood Textures
layer and the "Happy Birthday", to help bring out
these layers.  The candy dots were colored with
a black sharpie, to coordinate with the rest of the card.
