Stamp Off Layered Leaves Technique

Susan, Buffy and I are here, on schedule, for our
bi-monthly Stamp Off challenge.  We appreciate you
joining us!
This week, our challenge is to create a technique card,
using leaves or flowers.  Watercoloring techniques tend
to be outside of my comfort zone.
Susan has taken some on-line classes, so this is more
in her wheel house, but I went with watercoloring.
I pulled out my Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder (p 211) and began by
puddling ink in the depressions.  I placed the watercolor
paper over top, and ran it through my Big Shot.
Some of the water spread outside of the leaves, but
overall, it made an interesting background.  I added
splats with the stamp from Timeless Textures on page 154.
The sentiment comes from Thoughts and Prayers
on page 66.
Thanks for stopping by.  Time to click on over to see
what Buffy and Susan
have done with this technique challenge.

Christmas Quilt and Quilt Builder Framelits

This card is part of the Quilted Christmas Suite,
found on page 5 of the Holiday catalog.  You have to look
closely because there are a number of products shown
on that page.  Initially, I missed the Quilt Top Textured
Impressions Embossing Folder!

I really like this suite, because it enables
the crafter to create warm, engaging projects that
the receiver will love.  In the example above, I created
a very quick, simple prlject, using the Christmas Quilt set
and coordinating Quilt Builder Framelits Dies.  I love
the font used for the sentiment.

Christmas Pines on DSP

There are a few Holiday sets in the annual catalog and
Christmas Pines on page 120 is one of my favorites.
This set coordinates with the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies
on page 216.  In this example, I have used the set only.

Layering the sentiment, cut out with the Layering Circles Framelits (on page 214),  over Wood Textures and Color Theory
DSP,  (page 187), enabled me to create a Holiday
color combination.  I like the gray tone in the Wood Texture,
which coordinates with the Silver Foil Sheets.
